Definition

The set of checks a run must pass before any of its results are reportable: blanks, replicate standards, resolution, symmetry, calibration performance, recovery. These are pass conditions, not diagnostics.

A numerical measure of how completely two adjacent peaks are separated, combining their spacing and their widths.
Linearity
How well detector response tracks concentration in a straight line across the working range.
Recovery
The proportion of a known added amount that the whole method actually finds.
