Group peptide testing: pooling for one certificate

One test, split across a community, published where everyone can check it. The analysis is the easy part; how the vial is chosen is what makes the result worth sharing.

Group tests grew out of forums and chat groups where many people buy from the same few sellers and nobody wants to pay for a test alone. The arithmetic is simple: peptide analysis is $299 CAD per sample, so ten people contributing about $30 each covers a full purity, identity and content result for one product.

What decides whether that result means anything is not the instrument. It is whether the group can trust how the vial reached the laboratory.

Step 1: agree on the question first

Write down what the group wants to know before anyone buys anything. “Is this vial what the label says, and how much is in it?” is answerable by peptide analysis. “Is this seller safe?” is not answerable by any analytical test, and a group that treats a purity figure as though it were will overread the result.

Step 2: buy the vial blind

• Buy as an ordinary customer. A vial requested “for testing” or sent free by the seller tests what the seller chose to send.
• Keep the order record. Order number, date and the unopened vial with its label and lot code. Photograph it on arrival.
• Do not open or reconstitute it. Mail it sealed, as received.

The certificate states that the sample was supplied by the client. That is accurate and deliberate: the laboratory can vouch for what it measured, not for how the vial was picked.

Step 3: one person submits

The organiser submits the request with the compound, the labelled amount and the lot from the vial, and names the seller as the vendor so the certificate lists it. We confirm the scope and price before anything ships, then send the intake address. The organiser pays; how the group reimburses them is up to the group.

Step 4: publish and share the link

Ask for a shareable verification link. Every member then opens the same record by its link or QR code, and anyone who later sees a screenshot can check it against the laboratory’s copy. How verification works.

Share the verification link rather than the PDF. An edited PDF is easy to make; an edited verification page is not, because it lives on this site.

Testing more than one product

Groups comparing several sellers can send the samples in one request. The same test across several samples earns the volume rate automatically: 3+ $279 · 6+ $265 · 12+ $255 CAD per sample for peptide analysis. Each sample is analysed and reported on its own certificate.

What the result can and cannot tell the group

• It describes the vial tested, by the methods printed on the certificate, on the date stated.
• It does not describe other vials, other lots, or what the seller ships next month. One vial and the batch explains why.
• It does not establish sterility, safety or suitability for use.
